Lund University continues to climb international university rankings

This year, Lund University climbed three spots higher than last year making it Sweden’s top-ranked university.

Lund University continues to score high in the QS World University Rankings 2026 - now ranked 72nd globally.

QS has evaluated over 8,400 institutions, ranking 1,501. Lund has consistently placed among the world’s top 100 universities and has advanced 23 spots in three years, marking its best result since 2016.

Key strengths in the ranking include Sustainability (ranked 3rd worldwide compared to 5th last year) and International Research Network (35th compared to 48th last year). The QS ranking heavily weighs academic and employer reputation, along with indicators like research impact and international collaboration.
