The IIIEE works at the nexus of economy, industry and the environment, and we believe that a profound industrial transformation is a precondition for a sustainable future. We strive to advance strategies for sustainable solutions pursued by public authorities and businesses – internationally, nationally and locally.
Today, we live in a time when systematic changes of unsustainable systems of consumption and production are urgently needed. In order to change direction to a more sustainable future, the Institute plays an important role, and we envision a future in which the IIIEE has accelerated the transitions to climate-neutral and resource-efficient economies.
In order to achieve our vision, the IIIEE produces and shares actionable knowledge for sound decision making at all levels, from the local to the global, including both private and public sectors. We educate future leaders and change agents to enable transitions to climate-neutral and resource-efficient economies which are embedded in broader societies.
