Special Area Studies (SAS)
Special Area Studies courses are available in subjects such as Swedish culture and society, European studies, regional courses and global issues of contemporary interest.
For exchange students
The IIIEE offers one SAS course for exchange students. It can be taken in addition to your regular studies during your exchange period. SAS courses are as demanding as any other course and include both exams and assignments. You must attend the introductory lecture and may not withdraw from the course without informing the relevant department first.
Check this website for application information www.lunduniversity.lu.se/sas. Note that exchange students at Lund University must apply via the designated system, and not via the national Swedish application website.
Every autumn the following course is offered:
- SASI10 Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for Urban Transformation (7.5 credits). Onsite course.
For other applicants
Any applicant that is not an exchange student at Lund University can apply via the national Swedish website for application (Antagning.se) to the following courses
- SASI07 Circular Economy – Managing Materials Sustainably (7.5 credits). Online course.
- SASI10 Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for Urban Transformation (7.5 credits). Onsite course.
