IIIEE discussing mobilization at the largest digital sustainability event in the Nordic region

On September 11, IIIEE researcher Sofie Sandin Lompar featured as a one of the leading voices in the event "A Sustainable Tomorrow", the largest annual and digital sustainability event in the Nordic region.

The event “A Sustainable Tomorrow” was recently held for the 13th time and this year's focus was 'Mobilizing with Courage and Diversity'. The 2025 event featured a robust lineup of high profiles in the sustainability field and first out was IIIEE researcher Sofie Sandin Lompar.

The speakers at this year's event included:

  • Sofie Sandin Lompar, researcher at Lund University
  • Atusa Rezai, Sustainability Manager of the Year 2024
  • Charbel Gabro, keynote speaker and inclusion advocate
  • Petter Brobacke, strategic sustainability analyst at Academedia
  • Agnes Tell, Chair of the Swedish Student Council
  • Vinus Dubhashi Tiger, student and activist
  • Anders Wijkman, author and policy expert
  • Sara Wimmercranz, entrepreneur and investor
  • Aliya Sabir, Head of Sustainability at HETCH
  • Fredrik Reinfeldt, former Prime Minister of Sweden

The event took place in Helsingborg and was organized as a digital event. The broadcast was followed by approximately 35,000 people at 130 local hubs. The event emphasized cross-generational dialogue, innovation, and leadership in the sustainability transition.

The event was concluded with the awarding of the “A Sustainable Prize”, which goes to a person, company or organization that has been prominent in this year's focus area. This year, the award went to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and was received by its chair Beatrice Rindevall.
