CIRCUSOL project discusses circular solar business model options

On 23-26 January the CIRCUSOL project consortium is coming together to discuss progress on the circular solar business model demonstrators and next steps to explore second-life use of solar PV and batteries.

Demonstrator-leaders have been busy co-creating new circular value propositions across Europe. New ideas are emerging of propositions that are attractive to the customer, the environment and businesses involved.  

Invited external experts including Stefan Wippich, founder of SecondSol, and Dr. Karsten Wambach, president of  PVCYCLE, are are discussing opportunities and challenges associated with second life solar PV panels in practice, together with the consortium partners. 
 

Background:

H2020 Project CIRCUSOL

CIRCUSOL stands for “Circular Business Models for the Solar Power Industry”. It is an Innovation Action project funded by the Horizon 2020 program of the European Commission. It brings together 15 partners, IIIEE being one of them, from 7 European countries to develop and demonstrate business solutions for circular economy in the solar power sector. CIRCUSOL started in June 2018 and will run for 4 years.
