IIIEE presenting on transitions and PV systems in Utrecht

Photovoltaics on roof

IIIEE researchers Lena Neij and Sofie Sandin Lompar shared their ongoing research on transaction costs for acquiring solar PV systems at the 14th International Sustainability Transitions conference in Utrecht.

In the light of the numerous challenges we as societies are facing, the need for sustainability transitions is pressing. As researchers, we ask ourselves what is needed to move forward: which actions and which support are required to take the next steps?

These questions, and more, were at the focal point at the 14th International Sustainability Transitions conference that was hosted in Utrecht. IIIEE researchers Lena Neij and Sofie Sandin Lompar shared their ongoing research on transaction costs for acquiring solar PV systems, emphasizing the need to consider not only technology costs but also the array of other costs that come with making decisions. We conclude that that there is a lot of research being done both in Sweden and internationally on the topic of sustainability transitions, focusing on different sectors and applications, but with the joint intention of understanding and articulating what we need to do today and tomorrow.
