ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability and the City of Malmö are partnering with the City Futures Academy and the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University to support the capacity building and lifelong learning of participants at the ICLEI World Congress.

The City Futures Academy is an online learning community on sustainable cities with over 100,000 participants in its vibrant series of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The collaboration between ICLEI, City of Malmö, the City Futures Academy and the IIIEE involves 1) providing access to a diversity of films, podcasts and materials from MOOCs leading up to ICLEI World Congress, and 2) creating a collection of films, podcasts and materials from the ICLEI World Congress – allowing the event to live on and reach larger and wider audiences.
