On 8th March, the Alumni Relations office at Lund University offers a webinar as a digital celebration of International Women's Day 2024. The guests are three inspiring alumnae: Camilla Mellander, Consul General of Sweden in New York, MSc Economics, Charlotte Beskow, now retired from a long career within the European Space Agency, MSc Electrical Engineering, and the IIIEE alumna Iryna Stavchuck, Ukraine programme manager, European Climate Foundation, MSc in Environmental Management and Policy.

Iryna Stavchuk, an alumna of the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), and a graduate from the MSc in Environmental Management and Policy, is invited as one of three speakers in a digital celebration of International Women's Day 2024.

Iryna has recently been nominated as one of the BBC 100 most inspiring and influential women. She is a leading expert on climate policies and has recently joined the European Climate Foundation as Ukraine Programme Manager, with the main goal of designing green and climate-proof solutions for the post-war recovery of her country. Prior to assuming this position, Iryna served as the Deputy Environment Minister for the Ukrainian government from 2019 to 2022. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in shaping climate change policies, overseeing European integration, managing international relations, and addressing biodiversity concerns. During the webinar, Iryna will provide insights into her remarkable journey and share the challenges she has confronted along the way, offering valuable perspectives on her current impactful role.
