ACCESS - Academic Collaboration Chile Sweden

In the beginning of December 2016, Lund University, including the IIIEE, and Uppsala University met with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile, to sign an intent of a bilateral collaboration project between Chile and Sweden. A historic kick-off took place and marked the beginning of the academic collaboration between Chile and Sweden, the ACCESS project. Eight researchers from Lund University were present, including Associate Professor Luis Mundaca at the IIIEE, all assembled by Professor Olov Sterner, Director of the faculty of science at Lund University.

The main aim of the project is to fascilitate and deepen the collaboration between Chile and Sweden within research, eduaction and innovation.

The ACCESS project is now planning several symposia with the focus on three main themes:

1. Pending and new social challenges
2. Sustainable use of natural resources and tech innovation
3. Health challenges of the modern society
