Luis Mundaca, from the IIIEE, joins the 3rd Lead Author Meeting of the ‘IPCC Special Report on the Impacts of Global Warming of 1.5⁰C above Pre-industrial Levels’. This special report, requested by the UN, is looking at what we stand to gain from limiting warming to 1.5°C compared to higher temperatures. The meeting is taking place in Malmö, Sweden, 23-27 October. Lead Authors will be devoted to discuss and address the first round of review comments. The First Order Draft (FOD) received nearly 13,000 comments from expert reviewers located in 61 countries. This work will be the basis for preparing the Second Order Draft (SOD) in the next few weeks.
