A new "Lund Urban Transition Lab" to test sustainable city development

Lund has been selected as one of five Swedish cities to receive Formas funding for a new Urban Transition Lab focused on sustainable city development. IIIEE Professor Lena Neij is one of the driving researchers.

Lund has been selected as one of five Swedish cities to receive Formas funding for a new Urban Transition Lab focused on sustainable city development.

The lab will be a hub for interdisciplinary research, collaboration, and practical experimentation to make Lund a model for sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive cities.

The work is led by Lund Municipality in collaboration with Lund University and HSB. IIIEE Professor Lena Neij  IIIEE is one of the cooordinating researchers from Lund University.

Lund Urban Transition Lab is part of the ShiftSweden program within the national innovation initiative Impact and  will be located in northeast Lund’s innovation district.
