The conference aimed to be an arena to share information on nature-based solutions at a more general level, providing inspiration, knowledge, and hands-on tools for better choices for a sustainable future. The conference programme offered presentations from researcher, practitioners and politicians as well as visits to other sites in and around Malmö, including poster coffee breaks at Malmö Arena hotel, excursions to urban and rural nature sites in Skåne. Conference activities included innovative ways of blending in culture and entertainment such as graphic art, poetry in all Nordic languages and even freestyle rap on the co-created topics of “nature-based solutions” and “who’s gonna pay for my wetlands” (performed by Denmark Rapolitics).
IIIEE researchers Yuliya Voytenko Palgan, Björn Wickenberg and Kes McCormick (IIIEE and SLU) presented on on-going research in the projects Naturescapes, Arcadia and other NBS projects at the IIIEE and SLU.
