A Lund University research agenda for innovation and sustainability

Feet on asphalt

How can Lund University continue its path of excellence and which areas of research are needed to accelerate the transition to sustainability? Researchers from different disciplines at Lund University have co-created an agenda for systemic change.

In April 2025, CIRCLE (Centre for Innovation Research) together with IIIEE, LUCSUS, Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Sustainability Forum, and the Urban Arena organised the Innovation Research Day at Lund University. The event has become a recurrent arena for sharing and discussing new projects and initiatives, identifying interfaces and complementarities, and jointly shaping ideas about the future of innovation research. The meeting has resulted in a Research Agenda for Innovation and Sustainability.

The agenda highlights intradisciplinarity and the inclusion of different perspectives and can be used as inspiration and direction.

The organization committee consisted of Pauline Mattsson, Markus Grillitsch, Lena Neij, Barry Ness, Diamanto Politis, Andrew Karvonen and Ylva van Meeningen.
