Ukrainian university visited IIIEE to share knowledge and foster research and educational collaborations

A group of researchers and teachers from the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in Ukraine visited IIIEE to discuss and exchange academic insights.

Yesterday, four academic colleagues from Ukraine visited the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) to share knowledge and foster research and educational collaborations. Our guests came from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kyiv, Ukraine.

In the course of the meeting knowledge on different topics was exchanged.  Dr. Viktor Karamushka, the head of the Environmental Studies Department, gave a presentation on the Environmental impacts of the war in Ukraine. His colleagues shared their knowledge on biodiversity and environmental impact assessment.

To present IIIEE, Dr. Yuliya Voytenko Palgan gave an overview of the research areas and projects at the institute and talked about the education. As our Ukrainian colleagues were interested in the educational process and opportunities for collaboration,  Dr. Bernadett Kiss explained Commissioned Education at Lund University on the example of the capacity building courses for professionals.

The meeting ended with joined lunch and promising points for future collaborations. Collaborations like these are essential for advancing scientific understanding and promoting cross-cultural exchange.
