On Friday, 12 April nearly 200 decision-makers participated in the event organised as part of the Lund Sustainability Week by the Skåne County Administrative Board — the regional voice of the Swedish Government. Experts from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), Oksana Mont and Andrius Plepys, presented results from the ongoing EU project 1.5°C lifestyles. The project identified 50 lifestyle strategies in housing, mobility, food and leisure domains and translated them into CO2 savings they can lead to. Numerous workshops with citizens and experts were held in the project to discuss positive and negative, rebound and side effects of these strategies on individuals implementing them. The presented results also included recommendations that shed light on vital strategies for policy-makers, including civil servants, and politician, and society to promote and adopt sustainable living practices among citizens, paving the way for a greener future.
