About

The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics

The IIIEE is a unique centre and node for interdisciplinary research and education within Lund University.

We are located in the Öresund region, which is one of the most dynamic regions in Europe, with the ambition to become one of the most creative and sustainable city-regions in the world. Lund University and the Öresund region provide a dynamic platform for research and education on advancing strategies for sustainable solutions.

The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) was founded in 1994 with the official inauguration by His Majesty the King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf in 1995.

The Institute was established by the Swedish Parliament as a response to the urgent need for many organizations to understand, develop and implement preventive approaches to environmental problems.
