On 15-16 June 2017, the 4th International Workshop on the Sharing Economy took place in Lund. The workshop was arranged by the IIIEE together with the department of urban planning and environment at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology), and attracted nearly a hundred participants from around the world.

The workshop consisted of three keynotes, a stakeholder debate, an academic panel discussion, and 11 parallel sessions featuring 42 presentations on the major themes emerging in the research of the sharing economy, namely concepts, methods, impacts, operations, geographical contexts, actors and governance (click here for more information on the various workshop sessions). The keynotes were presented by Prof. Julian Agyeman from Tufts University, USA; the Executive Director of the Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production from Germany; and collaborative economy analyst Martijn Arets from the Netherlands.

Registrations are now open for the 5th International Workshop on the Sharing Economy, which will take place in Mannheim, Germany on 28th-29th June 2018.
