Architectural Integration and Design of Solar Systems
Future cities provide space for new and exciting energy solutions. Much speaks for solar energy. The place is there, and the city's buildings can hold huge untapped areas suitable for solar cells and other solar energy technical solutions. It is important that these are integrated in an aesthetic manner. At this seminar Maria Cristina Munari Probst will provide good and bad examples of the integration of solar modules and discuss what it is that makes them more or less aesthetic.
The seminar is in English and is aimed, inter alia, to city planners, architects, researchers and others who are interested in solar power in urban planning.
The seminar is free. Register by sending an e-mail to Marianne Sandberg at marianne [dot] sandberg [at] iiiee [dot] lu [dot] se no later than 3 February.
The seminar is organized by the IIIEE at Lund University and is given in the context of Alvar Palm's doctoral dissertation defence on the same day, 8 February, at 13:00 - 15:00, IIIEE Aula, Tegnérsplatsen 4 in Lund.
The title of Alvar Palm's doctoral dissertation is: Residential solar photovoltaics deployment: barriers and drivers in space.
