The Master's of Science in Environmental Management and Policy (EMP) is the flagship programme of the IIIEE and started in 1995. It aims to prepare environmental professionals for careers as managers, policy makers, analysts, researchers and consultants.

Successful graduates of the programme:

• understand the fundamentals of environmental sciences as well as policies, management systems and practices, particularly in industry which affect the environment;
• have advanced understanding of sustainable consumption, energy policy and product systems as well as industrial environmental management
• are able to analyze political, economic and industrial systems for their environmental impacts;
• are able to develop and evaluate strategies for addressing environmental challenges faced by businesses and public authorities
