Lunch seminar with Gustav Osberg & Katherine Shabb

We will present some preliminary findings from an ongoing literature review exploring the governance of the decarbonisation of cities agenda. Cities are at the forefront of addressing climate governance challenges; however, trying to navigate its conceptual terrain can be daunting. Our review seeks to provide some conceptual clarity through identifying key themes such as capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and multi-level governance, ultimately and hopefully offering a framework for understanding how diverse actors collaborate towards net-zero goals. The seminar will include an interactive exercise where we will invite you to engage with and test the framework we are currently working on as part of our discussion. Using the metaphor of "eyes, hands, and feet," we will explore how vision, action, and progress can coalesce to enable effective urban decarbonisation governance. We hope that your input will help us refine our discussion!
