Graduate School Seminar on Sustainability Beyond Growth

On 14 September 2026, a seminar on “Sustainability Beyond Growth: Redesigning Life, Communities, and Services under Constraints” will take place and is open for anyone to join. The Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) is organising the seminar under the leadership of Professor Kunio Shirahada, Director of the Social System Management Research Area and Director of the Centre for Knowledge Innovation, and as part of the Graduate School.

In the seminar, Oksana Mont from IIIEE will be one of the keynote speakers and presents "Post-Growth in Europe: Rethinking Business, Consumption, and Well-Being". The programme also includes contributions from Dejan Križaj and Kaja Antlej on closed-loop hospitality, Charles Romito on organisational action for sustainability, and a panel discussion led by Kunio Shirahada on living well with less.
