Due diligence for a just, green and digital transition?

Workshop, 18-19 November 2026, Lund 

This interdisciplinary workshop brings together researchers to explore the evolving role of human rights and environmental due diligence in the EU’s sustainability agenda. We invite contributions that examine the opportunities, tensions and unintended consequences of due diligence regulation across global supply chains, and that advance research on achieving a just, green and digital transition.

Call for Abstracts 

Abstracts (max. 500 words) should be submitted by 4 September 2026 to sustainability [at] jur [dot] lu [dot] se with ‘Workshop November 2026’ as the subject line. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 20 September 2026. 

Selected participants will be invited to present their work at the workshop and to submit a draft paper of approximately 4000 words in advance of the event (details to follow). Following the conference, a special issue is planned. A few stipends will be available to cover travel and accommodation, with an emphasis on early career researchers and scholars from the Global South. To be considered for such a stipend, please indicate this in your submission. The workshop is organized with the kind support of the Lund University’s Human Rights Profile Area and in collaboration with the SMART Network.
