During September 2024, Thordis Bjartmarz has been a visiting PhD at IIIEE, visiting Oksana Mont.

Thordis Katla Bjartmarz is a second year PhD student at the Department of Management, Society and Communication (MSC) at Copenhagen Business School. Supervisors are Esben Rahbek Pedersen from MSC, and Nancy Bocken from Maastricht University. Thordis' research is around sustainable business models and organizational boundaries in the banking sector, which is a part of a larger research project on boundary tensions in sustainability work. Her first paper aimed at unfolding the various boundaries at play in sustainable business models and what they mean for sustainable business model innovation. Currently, Thordis is trying to conceptualize what (if at all) a sustainable banking business model could look like, along with developing an empirical paper on three case banks from Denmark.

"I have really enjoyed my time at the institute. If anyone is interested in discussing sustainable business models, organizational boundaries or the sustainable banking – do not hesitate to reach out."
