"Greening the economy in times of Covid-19: Lessons from the 2008 Financial Crisis"

In an article published on the Green Growth Knowledge Platform Professors Luis Mundaca and Lena Neij, together with post-doctoral fellows Jessika Luth Richter and Lars Strupeit, and phd Jonas Sonnenschein discuss what lessons could be learnt from the 2008 financial crisis, in times of the Covid-19 crisis.

Some of the policy lessons that are put forward are:

  • Aim for ambitious policy interventions
  • Develop and synchronize the green job market
  • Focus on social inclusiveness.
