A project involving 80 Swedish public agencies, the REMM project, based on IIIEE research on virtual meetings, has helped the agencies to significantly reduce their CO2 emission from travel with up to 53 %.

Swedish data from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, shows that the agencies have implemented the REMM methodology. Since 2011 the agencies have systematically developed their use of virtual collaboration, and at the same time, they have reduced CO2 from travel with on average 25 %.

Peter Arnfalk at the IIIEE has developed the methodology behind the project and acts as scientific advisor for REMM.
