Green Wave for Zabrze - A sustainable Mobility Strategy

sed_zabrze_polish_version.jpg

"Green Wave for Zabrze - A sustainable Mobility Strategy" is now published in Polish! The report was originally published in English, as a result of the research conducted in the city of Zabrze last spring, by the IIIEE MSc students.

Historically known as one of the most polluted cities in Europe, Zabrze is presently undergoing a rapid transition "from black to green". During the past six years this process is supported by IIIEE MSc students conducting SED-case studies on different aspects of sustainable urban development.

The mobility strategy was developed in the framework of the EU-Interreg supported project Lighting Metropolis, thus elaborating on how innovative LED lighting and sensoring systems may facilitate mobility management. Although the report is taking Zabrze as a case, its recommendations are valid and relevant for many Polish middle sized cities.
