IIIEE researchers Yuliya Voytenko Palgan, Andrius Plepys, Vera Sadovska and Oksana Mont together with colleagues from Trinity College Dublin as part of the EU Horizon Europe project CULTIVATE developed and launched a prototype of a new online decision-support tool The Food Sharing Calculator to assess the costs, benefits and impacts of food sharing: https://cultivatecalculator.eu/ It is designed for food sharing initiatives, food sharing investors from public, private and philanthropy sectors and citizens to identify costs and benefits, measure impact and guide investment to build resilient food futures.
The Food Sharing Calculator has been co-created with CULTIVATE partners and collaborators including food sharing initiatives, municipalities, researchers, communication and knowledge brokerage actors. It is one of the tools developed in the CULTIVATE project, which constitute the Food Sharing Compass.
