South Swedish collaborations towards a Horizon Europe mission on climateneutral and smart cities event in Brussels.

On 4 December, Lärosäten Syd – the network of Universities in South Sweden – have teamed up with the other south Swedish Brussels offices – Skåne European Office, Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden, Skåne Association of Local Authorities and City of Malmö EU Office – to create an opportunity to deepen the dialogue with policymakers and strengthen partnerships with other stakeholders from academia, industry, funding agencies and public authorities to contribute to the shaping of missions and the future European research and innovation landscape.

Under the heading South Swedish collaborations towards a Horizon Europe mission on climateneutral and smart cities, participants will give their views from south Sweden regarding the implementation of a mission-oriented approach to building innovation partnerships in the area of climate neutral and smart cities. Speakers will share recommendations on what an EU mission could aim to achieve and how it could be implemented, based on real experiences from south Sweden.

The IIIEE is represented by Professor Lena Neij, who will give a talk on 'Building carbon neutral cities in collaboration – discussing the role of academia'.

This is the second annual policy event and it takes place at Skåne European Office in Brussels.
