During the period 27 February – 9 March the IIIEE had a Chinese delegation of four people from the Beijing Municipality visiting the institute in order to exchange experience of sustainable urban planning as well as low-carbon management methods, waste disposal, green traffic planning and water treatment. They were visiting the IIIEE seeking advise on how to green their current and new city, and meting and discussing with people in the house and in the region.

The picture is taken in Augustenborg, a neighbourhood in Malmö. In Augustenborg Bernadette Kiss at the IIIEE guided the Chinese delegation and told them about the history of the area and showed the storm water solution. After Augustenborg the Green Roof Institute was visited, followed by first Yallatrappan in Rosengård and then the Western Harbour. The purpose with the day in Malmö was to look at different sustainable solutions and discuss what could also be possible solutions in a Chinese setting.
