Prof. Nancy Bocken took part in the panel discussion on how to bring business and academia closer together to address the SDGs.

Building on the 16th ABIS Colloquium, the 2018 Knowledge Into Action Forum in Brussels was an answer to the call from the business community to academia to help develop competitive and innovative business models for the United Nations' Sustainability Development Goals through research and knowledge development. Professor Nancy Bocken at the IIIEE took part in the panel discussion on how to bring business and academia closer together to address the SDGs together with panel members from Unilever, ING, and academia. She also delivered the closing keynote on Business models for sustainability in the transition to a circular economy with a call for action to business to start experimenting with new business models also incorporating ’slow consumption’ strategies; academia to guide such transitions through new more action-oriented research approaches; and funding agencies to continue supporting novel collaborative and interdisciplinary research endeavours.
