About MESPOM:
MESPOM is coordinated by IIIEE and operated by a consortium of four
leading European institutions for environmental research and postgraduate
education which include, in addition to IIIEE, the Central European University
(Hungary), the University of the Aegean (Greece) and the University of
Manchester (UK) . MESPOM is supported by the Erasmus Mundus programme of the
European Commission.
MESPOM program lasts 2 years and enables students to attend at least three of
the MESPOM Consortium partners.
The European Commission's Erasmus Mundus programme provides scholarships to
outstanding students from countries outside the European Union to attend MESPOM
and to scholars to participate in teaching and research.
MESPOM in Lund (Semester 3), Preventive environmental strategies
The aim of this semester at IIIEE is to equip students with knowledge and
skills necessary to prepare and implement environmentally-relevant management
decisions, at business and at policy level. Besides lectures and seminars, the
semester includes writing an individual research paper and is based on direct
interaction with companies and municipalities. All units are mandatory, while
the Applied Research in Preventive Environmental Approaches (ARPEA) course gives
students a possibility to select research topics in strategic environmental
development.
