New report on public procurement of innovation

A new report on public procurement of innovation has been published by Carl Dalhammar, Naoko Tojo, Pia Långström at the IIIEE together with Caroline Stuijt from Utrecht University.


Many countries develop strategies for demand-driven innovation. Public procurement for innovation (PPI in Swedish) is an approach where public procurement is being used to drive innovative solutions. The report discusses the potential for using  PPI to stimulate innovation in three sectors: transport, smart grids, and buildings/sustainable cities.
