Julia Nussholz is a researcher and PhD candidate. She holds a MSc in Environmental Governance for Sustainable Development, annotation in Innovation and Sustainable Entrepreneurship from Utrecht University, and a BSc in Social Sciences, a minor in Economics, from Cologne University and Sabancı University.
Her research interests explore initiatives and strategies to close material flow loops and advance to a circular society. In her PhD research in the MISTRA REES project, she investigates companies’ approaches to discover, design, and implement innovative business models based on circular economy thinking. Her aim is to integrate knowledge of business studies, lifecycle assessment, eco-efficiency, entrepreneurship and design towards creative methods for circular business model development. She is involved in Master thesis supervision and teaching in the Strategic Environmental Management Course at the IIIEE.
Mistra REES – Resource-Efficient and Effective Solutions based on circular economy
The MISTRA REES project is a 4-year programme run by a consortium of leading Swedish universities, large and small companies and societal actors. The vision of the programme is to advance the transition of the Swedish manufacturing industry towards a circular and sustainable economy.
