Masters Programme in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management MESPOM

This MSc programme is coordinated by the IIIEE and operated by a consortium of four leading European institutions for environmental research and education which include, in addition to IIIEE, the Central European University (Hungary), the University of the Aegean (Greece) and the University of Manchester (UK). This MSc programme is supported by the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission. Overview
The MSc programme lasts 2 years and enables students to attend at least three of the partners in the consortium. The Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission provides scholarships to outstanding students from countries outside the European Union to attend the MSc programme and to scholars to participate in teaching and research. At the IIIEE courses aim to equip students with knowledge and skills necessary to prepare and implement environmentally relevant management decisions.

Course outline
MESPOM in Lund (Semester 3), Preventive environmental strategies.
The aim of this semester at the IIIEE is to equip students with knowledge and skills necessary to prepare and implement environmentally relevant management decisions, at business and at policy level. Besides lectures and seminars, the semester includes writing an individual research paper and is based on direct interaction with companies and municipalities. All units are mandatory, while the Applied Research in Preventive Environmental Approaches (ARPEA) course gives students a possibility to select research topics in strategic environmental development.
