Graduation year from the IIIEE: 2008

Describe your job and the most exciting aspects of it

As a consultant in sustainable development, I am working on environmental projects with clients from various sectors: municipalities, transport companies or food retailers.  I can work on mandates related with green buildings, sustainable procurement, GHG reduction or public policies. What I like the most about my job is that my days are never the same and I am always learning about new challenges and ways to find creative solutions for a sustainable future.

Did studying at the IIIEE contribute to you getting this job? If so – how?

Yes, definitely. The Institute has given me the knowledge, tools, network and international experience needed to apply a multidisciplinary approach within the projects I am involved.  The field trips and other practical activities in the programme, really prepared me to understand the context and challenges industries and public organisations are facing.  I think this is important to have an influence on decision making. The programme therefore helped me broaden my perspective.

What do you wish current and future IIIEE students?

I wish for them to enjoy every moment of the programme because the two years Master’s programme just passes too fast.  I also hope they find challenges and opportunities that they are passionate about so they will stay motivated and keep having positive impacts on the environment.
