students_from_virginia.jpg

This year 19 students from the University of Virginia are visiting the IIIEE and will work with four clients (see below). The programme at the IIIEE is run for the 4th time, and the students started at the IIIEE on 15 May. The students have a blog, where they write about their impressions from Lund and Sweden (click here to access the blog).

Here are the clients for this year:

  • Fabriken, which “gives people the opportunity to build, design and develop things that cannot be bought in stores,”
  • Cykelköket (The Bike Kitchen), a community bike shop where people can go to fix, work on, or build a bicycle,
  • FixaTill (Swedish website only), a place where people can repair and trade secondhand clothes and other items, and
  • Stenkrossen (Swedish website only), where people can go to repair items and learn new skills to help them do so.
